Arnold Schonbrunn, a recent engineering graduate from South Africa, becomes heir to a seventy-two foot trawler that plies its trade along the notorious Skeleton Coast, often considered the most inhospitable coastline in the world. He competes with foul weather, giant Russian factory ships, and a reluctant crew, this in the face of a deep family resentment and hatred, trying to fulfil the obligations set by his benefactor. Attempts are made on his life and he barely escapes. His life is further complicated by the passion he feels for two beautiful women who inexplicably become part of this adventure.
