The turners have experienced the beauty of marriage ever since they decided to drop rings on each other's fingers. They are deep in love, smitten by one another, and they have it all going well for them.
That is what is seen by the eye of the passer-by, and also the massive white-colored mansion they live in and the flashy cars in their driveway.

First, there was silence!
Suddenly the voices started sounding loudly in his ears.
Too intense, too loud to be ignored.
They cried out for vengeance, and their thirst for blood was unmistakable.
Crunching up the papers in his hand, Jon Turner closed his eyes and took deep, slow breaths to calm his nerves. Behind closed
eyelids, all he could see were treachery and a misguided show of affection.
All the yoga classes he had ever taken that taught him how to be centered seemed to be out of reach at the time he so desperately needed to draw from them.
In those few seconds, Jon felt the blood begin to thrum against his eardrums and the unmistakable shaking of his hands.
A quick look at the mirror hanging in front of him revealed a face squeezed in rage, bloodshot eyes, and wide pupils against the stark, light blue of his eyes. Turning quickly on his heels, he charged out of the bathroom in search of Melinda.
