Checkmate

Dunno how the hell this book got 4.16/5 on goodreads from 37k ratings! Girls, are you out of your mind? I just couldn't close the book 'cause I've gone too far, but then I went only superficially. I fed up with "he made my life a living hell", "we doing it just to stay in character" and other continuously repeating phrases. Plot is crap, characters are too ideal (well, for romances it's usual thing) and the most important part: writing style - aghh. Well, not as bad as "Beautiful disaster", anyway. There was lack of speech figures, metaphors and, well, climax. I was reading ang giving it chance by chance, but nothing came out of it. I'm totally disappointed.
