The story had more gloom, more smooth a pace, more romance even than any previous. Of the characters, so different all of them and so intriguing to unfold their backgrounds. Altogether an inspiring novel for any young or old; beautiful language through and through, only common words can be used to such a comic result! I loved this book and it shall remain cherished to me, and well-remembered, for I have read it in the most important year of my life so far.
