She is. But her soul is even more beautiful

“Tell me you love me,” he persisted. “Right now. Tell me.”
“I love you,” she choked out.

They were so beautiful, her eyes. And so expressive. He could see the fear in their glistening depths. But he could also see the love.

“Don’t let past experiences blind you to the present. Promise me that, at least.”

“Promise me you’ll tell him you love him.”

She had fallen in love with the man. Against all common sense, and all her best resolves. It was irrational to love him, but it was no less real. Awfully painfully real.

He wanted her to be his woman, forever. He wanted to live with her, have children with her, grow old with her. Hey, he even wanted to marry her.
