Too often, people have been made to believe that no one can change, a wonderfully rationalizing thought that seems to forgive our unwillingness to challenge ourselves. You can change. Any part of yourself that you don’t like or that is not working for you is in your power to change. To believe differently is to question the very basis of being human. We are different from the rest of the animal world because of our ability to think and feel on a level that allows us to change and adapt.

The point is, I’m pretty sure you were not talking incessantly about the stress of money, kids, and business when you were dating, because if you were, you never would’ve gotten married. That kind of conversation didn’t make you fall in love. I don’t know why you think it’s going to sustain your love.

The best place to put your energy? You might have guessed it by now. My research showed that the number one way the other woman differed from the cheating man’s wife was that she made him feel wanted, loved, and appreciated—28 percent.

Everyone knows lying is wrong, yet it seems almost everyone does it in some fashion. The lie “I’ll call you” is so popular today that I think some have confused it as a substitute for “good-bye.” Lying diminishes trust and distorts reality.

Just because men seem like they’re strong and powerful doesn’t mean they don’t regularly question themselves or worry about their skills and abilities.

point is only that men tend to get less appreciation because they’re expected to do more than ever before.

Emotional disconnection? Appreciation? Doesn’t that sound like a woman is talking? The big lie we keep hearing over and over again is women are the emotional ones, whereas men are like rocks, doing their thing, needing only lots of sex to be happy. Stop believing these myths or else the odds of your husband cheating will dramatically rise
