Jill Foer Hirsch is a breast cancer survivor, writer, and humorist. While battling breast cancer in 2010, she documented her experience in an honest, wry, and funny online journal. Although her journal was originally intended just for her family and friends, her readership grew and the response was overwhelming. Jill heard from breast cancer survivors, cancer patients, and those whose lives had been touched by cancer that they found her unique sense of humor and positive outlook inspirational. Hoping to encourage and support a wider audience, Jill adapted the journal to become When Good Boobs Turn Bad: A Mammoir. In the course of writing the book she was inspired to leave her longtime business career and pursue writing full time. Jill writes everything from business proposals and marketing materials to her just-for-fun blog, Universal Musings. Jill resides in the Washington, D.C., area with her husband Dan and their four spoiled cats. Her favorite things include her new boobs, long walks on the beach, Chardonnay, and dancing in the rain.
