Bill Hauser

Bill Hauser grew up in Wisconsin where he developed a love of nature and all sorts of outdoor activities. This love led to inquiries and a desire to learn, which was sustained throughout his college years, graduate school, and a career in the natural sciences and fisheries. He arrived in Alaska in 1980 to work for the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Division of Fisheries Rehabilitation, Enhancement, and Development. Bill had the good fortune to experience Alaska through both his work assignments and personal activities. He writes a column, Fish Talk, about fish biology for the monthly newsletter of the Alaska Fly Fishers. Bill and his wife, Karel, live in Anchorage where they raised their children, Bill and Donna."
