We hear that hardly anyone ever goes to the Spring Fling, so we decide that it must be cool and that we will go.

We walk side by side out into the hall

all my memories of this place are much louder

I cautiously look over at him, wondering what he’s thinking, if his memories are as happy as mine.

“So what’s the meaning of life?” Angie says.

“To be happy,”

“And I think it’s beautiful that they loved each other so much that they couldn’t live without the other one.”

The book is old and has that dusty, musty smell I love.

Today is the longest day of the year,

I will sit here for a moment longer and be happy. Though I am dying to look down again and read more, I’ll sit here and love this book and know that I still have so much more left to read because that won’t be true for very long.
