Rather taken aback, I somberly replied, “I hope I don’t have to. But if I do, I’m ready.” Two weeks later, one of Chicago’s successful businessmen and entrepreneurs John Bohne, passed away. He was a simple, uneducated son of German bean farmers, who in 1969 had the courage to buy a single twenty-five ton crane.

Since his father’s passing, B.J. has transformed Imperial Crane Services, quadrupling annual revenues to well over $100 million, elevating the company’s prominence to one of the largest crane companies in the world. Imperial Crane is a fascinating portrait of a family business. It is a story of vision, failures, conquest and tremendous teamwork. It offers thought-provoking assessments about life and its numerous pains, joys, and punitive lessons. This compelling book makes for an inspiring read for all generations."

Book release in Chicago, Illinois at Imperial Crane Headquarters on February 8, 2013 at 6:00pm.
