What if your greatest adventure was a journey back to the teenager still living inside you—the part Carl Jung called the adolescent shadow?

Following a family tragedy and the discovery of a huge family secret, sixteen-year-old Jack and his quirky sister Emily must travel the Bifrost to a mythical realm called Sylvaheim. Here, they learn to conquer their deepest fears. Jack converses with a riddle-talking tree, battles a troll, dines with faeries, and falls in love with a Greek water nymph named Ari.

Separated from Jack by a huge hedge of silver, their mother's life hangs in the balance. To save her family and reunite with her brother, fourteen-year-old Emily must find a mythical plant called silphium. As she traverses Sylvaheim with a clumsy warrior princess from Norse mythology, Emily symbolically 'cuts' her own shadow (thereby integrating it), narrowly escapes from Merlin's cave, and makes a deal with the god of the underworld.

Shadows of Sylvaheim is a truly unique audiobook! Covering real life themes of living in poverty, parent-child conflict, grief and loss, recreational drug use, alcohol abuse and infidelity, it takes the listener on a journey of their unconscious mind. Used as part of Story Image Therapy (SIT®) and The Shadow Self program, as well as a general learning and teaching tool for all ages.
