When Sara Verrall discovers a worrying lump in her breast, she is suddenly faced with one of life’s most frightening crossroads. Rather than following a conventional medical route, she chooses a deeply personal path built on alternative healing practices, emotional resilience, self-care and (almost) unwavering positivity.

Living in a peaceful seaside town in France, Sara begins an unconventional healing journey involving a variety of alternative approaches including deep tissue work, meditation and sound baths. Following nutritional changes, emotional awareness and holistic wellness support from caring practitioners, she invites us to walk beside her - with just a couple of closest friends - on this profound self-care journey.

Told with warmth, humour, vulnerability and honesty, this memoir shares not only the difficult moments, but also the unexpected joy, connection and self-discovery found along the way.

Warm, honest and uplifting, No Chemo, No Radio... No Knife is not a medical manual or a prescription for others. It is one woman’s true story of courage and hope as she learns to listen to her own intuition. This true story is shared from Sara's heart to encourage anyone facing uncertainty, illness or major life challenges; giving the reassurance that every healing journey is unique.

Her final chapter, added almost eighteen months after publication of the original nine chapters, takes us further along this awesome journey. Sara realises there are not many quick fixes in life, so she delves deeper. Looking at her own responses to life's twists and turns with her familiar warm, non-critical eyes ... and also exploring a couple of very interesting scientific approaches, with an alternative spin - of course!
