Dr Rachel Besser BSc MBBS (Hons) MRCPCH is a Specialist Paediatric Registrar and clinical researcher. She works closely with children and young people with diabetes in hospital and the community, on diabetes holiday camps and family weekends. She was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes when she was 9 years old. She has been awarded the 2013 IPSAD Young Investigator Award.
