Amazing young Westerners traveled the Hippie Trail from Europe to Asia and back during the 1950's through the 1970's. They were searching for adventures, love, and incredible scenery. Rick Gross traveled for 21 months with these young hippies and locals on the Hippie Trail. Rick experienced danger, romance, mystery, and inspiration, and along the way, he had opportunities to teach English. Rick graduated from Vanderbilt University with a degree in history, and he earned a Specialist degree from Georgia State University in Social Studies; he worked as a high school and college instructor for 35 years, teaching culture and history. He has visited more than fifty countries.
